POETRY: Indoors by R. S. Thomas
It was easier to come out with you
Into the fields, where birds made no claim
On my poor knowledge and flowers grew
With no thought but to declare God.
Within I had the old problems
To cope with: turning from the Book’s
Comfortable words, I came face to face
With the proud priests and their intolerant look.
Wow! I am in love with the beauty of this, found it quite by accident when I was trying to send a friend a Mary Oliver poem! THank you! What a gift! I am a poet, would to share? Please let me know, or I will search here for a way to send and offer what I have, am so inspired!! Thank you thank you thank you!!
