POETRY: Heart Prayer by Robert Corin Morris

heart prayer

O Heart of my heart,
O Mind of my mind,
Deep Breath of my little breathing,
Great Life of my little living,
Great Love of my little loving,
Be Thou to me all that is:
Be Thou to me everything that moves me to shine,
All things that craft me supple and caring,
All souls and creatures that root me in love.
Be Thou also to me companion in every adversity,
Blessing them to be the challenges
that provoke me to deeper resources of soul,
that grow me deep and strong
however weak I may seem to be.
Be Thou to me my truest life,
My All in all,
Thou Heart
and Mind
and
Breath of my being!
