ELECTION DAY: Dear Diary
I went to vote. 6:30 am. Usually it’s a walk-in-walk-out kind of experience. Today, we were turned away from the polls. The machines were not working. Only 50 paper ballots, and there were already 200 in line.
The county I live in went, unusually, for President Obama during the last election.
And this is very much a swing state.
Will try again later, and will stay in line until I vote.
Perhaps I should bring a chair.
